Ask two alumni experts anything about starting up a business during an online chat event on Wednesday 24 June.

Business start-up online chat 24 May

The York Alumni Association (YAA) event will be hosted by two alumni:

  • James Clarkson, CEO and founder of Adventoris, has a first class degree in economics from the University of York and is now a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of commerical experience
  • Adrian Watts, Chairman of Live & Breathe creative agency, has over 25 years of experience and started his company eight years after graduating from the University of York

The session covers the practicalities and planning of starting a business. You will be able to ask James and Adrian anything about starting a business from questions about your own business plan and negotiating a loan to finding a premises and employing staff.

YAA will be using a new online platform for the event that saves your chat so that you can easily refer back to it to review your notes, gather contact information and follow up with any further questions.

The ‘Business Start-up: the ins and outs, ask me anything’ online chat will take place from 12 noon to 1pm on Wednesday 24 May. Registration required.
