York named safest campus in England and Wales

A new survey has placed the University of York number one in England and Wales when it comes to low levels of crime.
Calculated using the annual number of reported incidents (per 1,000 residents) around students' term-time addresses, York came out on top, with the lowest reported incidence of burglaries, robberies and violent and sexual offences.
The Complete University Guide says we offer “the perfect combination of safe surroundings and excellent education.”
