Early Career Researchers' Forum

The Early Career Researchers’ Forum (ECRF) supports early career researchers (postgraduate research students, postdoctoral research staff and research fellows starting independent research groups).

We provide opportunities to listen and talk to speakers from academia and industry, run open forums on topics such as funding schemes and grant applications, and represent and advocate for the interests of early career researchers at the School.

We support you by:

  • regularly hosting networking events with industry partners
  • arranging informal social activities in a vibrant community to welcome you and enable you to network with individuals outside your immediate research areas
  • providing access to independent advice from peers and senior academic colleagues, helping you to build collaborations and identify career paths
