Find out more about the history of the double bass and bass guitar. John Marley, a researcher and instrumental teacher with the University of York’s Department of Music, will explain the transition between the two instruments and explore how the bass guitar changed jazz. John’s talk will be accompanied by live practical musical demonstrations.
