Departmental guest parking

Departments can pay for a guest to park on campus with a visitor parking permit.

Just visiting?

If you’re visiting for an event such as an Open Day, check the event’s web page for the best method of transport and parking options. Alternatively, you could use pay and display parking where available.

Apply for a permit

University departments can pay for a visitor to park on campus using the Visitor's parking permits online system. This will allow the visitor to park in any staff or visitor car park but it will not reserve them a bay. If you need to reserve a space for a visitor, you should book a VIP space.

If you don't have a virtual parking account, you'll need to set one to book visitor parking.

Reserving a parking space

Departmental administrators can reserve a parking bay for a VIP visitor. VIP bays are available on a first come, first served basis and can be reserved by submitting the request form, giving two working days notice.

Cars parked in VIP bays need to display either a departmental visitor hanger permit, or have a virtual parking permit booked under their car's registration number.
