YESI is recruiting for 2 new Research Theme Leads in the broad area of food, water and waste

YESI is now recruiting for 2 new research theme leads.

Our Research Themes reflect the pressing environmental issues that humanity faces as well as building from key academic strengths in environmental sustainability research at York. The current Research Themes and Theme co-leads are:

Resilient Ecosystems – Dr Colin Beale and Dr Julia Touza

Environment and Health – Prof. Piran White and Dr Pete Coventry

We seek to appoint two Research Theme co-leads for a third theme, targeting the broad area of food, water and waste. Successful applicants will join the YESI team to continue to shape the strategic direction of the Institute under the directorship of Prof Lindsay Stringer.

You will be an internationally recognised researcher with expertise in the broad area of food, water and/or waste. Commensurate with your career stage, you will be an inspiring, collaborative interdisciplinary leader who can harness these research strengths. The term of the role is 3 years. Applications are welcome from all three Faculties, and from permanent UoY staff at all career stages from lecturer to professor, including permanent research fellows at Grade 7 or above.
