Event details

YESI launched its new Waste Network on the 14th February 2018, during a recent event focusing on a range of innovative solutions to the global challenge of waste.

The Network, which will be led by Dr James Chong from the Department of Biology, is a cross-campus initiative to bring together researchers with interests in all aspects of waste research from across the University. It aims to establish a network of active researchers from a broad range of disciplines to build collaborations, develop new research ideas and capitalise on funding opportunities.

This workshop will be the first of many meetings for our new Waste Network. During the session the attendees will discuss potential areas for research using the broad range of expertise in waste at York, and we hope to have a guest speaker who will highlight waste issues and their mitigation in the Aida refugee camp in the West Bank.

A full agenda will be published shortly.

If you are a researcher at the University of York, whether PhD student or Professor, and would like to register to be a member of the network and attend this workshop please contact us at yesi@york.ac.uk.
