Joan Samuels Scholarship
The Joan Samuels Scholarship offers one award of £2,000.00 to be paid as a living cost stipend for one postgraduate taught student or postgraduate researcher with a disability each academic year.

Eligibility
Open to UK (home) students only.
In order to be considered for the scholarship, you must have a disability, and be currently fully-registered on a degree-awarding postgraduate taught or research programme at the University of York, for a duration of at least one full year. The scholarship is open to those studying either full-time or part-time students, and with home or international fee status.

Application deadline: Friday 31 October 2025, 5pm GMT
Apply by completing the Google Form.
The application form will take 10 - 15 minutes to complete. Your progress will be automatically saved, so you may leave and return before submission.
How we allocate
Disability Services review the applications. The successful candidate will be notified no later than Friday 07 November 2025.
