Meet the Team

The Community Engaged Learning Team manages the Student Volunteering and Community Engaged Learning programmes at the University of York.

In partnership with local Charities and Organisations we provide a wide range of opportunities for students to gain experience and develop their employability.

We are a friendly team with lots of experience so if you're not sure where to start, have any questions or need some support, just get in contact by emailing volunteering@york.ac.uk.

I arrived in York as a maths student ten years ago and now live here with my husband and two young children. I used to often be found in a tea shop with an earl grey and a good book, or walking in the Yorkshire Dales. These days it’s the local playpark or building Lego with my son.
