YorkTalks 2017 • Wednesday 11 January
From dirty bombs to Dickens, from food waste to fertility and much more. Join us for 15 minute, bite-size insights into research by academics across the University.
YorkTalks is a day of inspirational short talks about the world-leading research happening at York.
There are sixteen 15-minute talks throughout the day, grouped together in sessions of four talks, followed by a question and answer session. You can attend a single session or all four - just book the tickets you need for the sessions you'd like to attend.
Refreshments will be available before and between sessions and there will be a drinks reception at the end of the day.
PhD Research Spotlight competition
In addition to the talks, PhD students from across the University have created exhibition pieces, which will be displayed throughout the day.
The PhD students will be available to talk about their work during the breaks between sessions.
A judging panel will award prizes for the best exhibition pieces at the beginning of session three.
