Changes to staff parcel and mail delivery on Campus West
Posted on Friday 11 September 2026
Recently we have seen increased incidents of external courier services delivering staff and student parcels to incorrect buildings across campus.
In addition, the latest campus safety enhancements to building access mean that external couriers may not be able to gain access to buildings and Colleges to deliver parcels directly to recipients.
We have therefore reviewed how parcels and mail are delivered across campus. From 14 September 2026 there will be a change to the location on Campus West where parcels and mail will be delivered and processed. The new location for all deliveries will now be the Dalham Farm Mailroom.
There are no changes on Campus East with the Piazza Mailroom continuing to serve that Campus.
What you need to know
On Campus West, to ensure we receive staff mail and parcels, they must all include the recipient's name and department and should be addressed as:
Name, Department, Dalham Farm Mailroom, Newton Way, Heslington, York, YO10 5NA.
Couriers will deliver to Dalham Farm unless the item is for Physics/Electronics, Chemistry, Biology, the Library or the National Science Learning Centre, who have their own direct delivery points for technical deliveries.
Please note, there will be no changes to how the Dalham Farm Mailroom processes and delivers parcels and mail to departments.

Information for staff working with students
From Monday 14 September, Campus West students will need to collect their parcels from the new Student Mailroom next to Dalham Farm on Campus West, instead of from the Information Centre.
Communications are going to students to outline the new process and signposting will be displayed at the Information Centre.
