Funding

There are two types of pump priming available for AgriFood research at York:

  1. University of York local pump priming via the N8 AgriFood project at York,
  2. Strategic pump priming projects funded and organised by the N8 AgriFood Secretariat.

Pathways to funding

1. Local Pump Priming

Features:
Multidisciplinary,
Projects must involve at least two N8 institutions,
Supporting York research agenda and developing ideas for future funding calls,
Encouraging early career researchers and those new to AgriFood research,
Development of innovative ideas outside discipline area,
Local, York-based process.

2. Strategic Pump Priming

Features:
Multidisciplinary,
Projects must involve at least two N8 institutions,
Groundbreaking projects and/or complex challenges requiring multiple partners/expertise,
Building collaborations for major funding bids,
N8 AgriFood Steering Group-driven process.
