The York Neuroimaging Centre (YNiC) is part of the Department of Psychology. YNiC provides staff and the students they supervise with state of the art facilities for research in cognitive neuroscience. This facility and the wide ranging expertise of our staff makes York one of the best places in the UK to study human neuroscience at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Human neuroscience is a core and increasingly important element of contemporary psychology. Courses in the Department of Psychology focus on the mechanisms of human cognition (perception, thought, memory, language, reasoning and so on). Our undergraduate programmes are accredited by the British Psychological Society and are open to students with a wide range of qualifications.
