This tour shows a range of equipment and facilities available in one of our modern, dedicated laboratories.

Introduction

The music technology labs have purpose-built studios and high quality equipment allowing for production of music and also virtual reality (VR) applications.

Virtual Reality Suite

The lab houses two workstations each with state-of-the-art equipment:

 

Studio 1

The studio houses a Dante-enabled Audio Interface for I/O, Avid Control Surface and all the equipment for recording and mixing, including numerous DAW Software such as Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton, Reaper and ProTools.

 

Live Room

The Live Room space is linked to both Studio 1 and Studio 2. A range of microphones, amplifiers, drums and guitars are available for your use.

Acoustic and electric guitars with amps.

The AV screen is linked to the studio control room.

Studio 2

This is another studio as part of the lab space. It is a mirror image of Studio 1 but has varying kit.

Studio 2 contains a console, screen and additional keyboards.

The studio console and a large HDTV for sound to picture work.
