Glass Plate Negatives collection

The collection

The collection comprises of around 2000 lantern slides and glass plate negatives that were probably part of the collection of the Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies. Originally housed in King’s Manor Library they are now kept in climate controlled conditions in the Rare Books Strongroom in the Raymond Burton Library.

Most are images of architecture and antiquities from Britain, Europe, Egypt, and the Middle East.
