Heidi Fraser-Krauss: CIO of the Year!

We're excited to announce that, at Computing's Women in IT Excellence Awards, Heidi, as Director of Information Services, was awarded CIO (Chief Information Officer) of the Year.

These awards recognise women working in IT across all sectors; shortlisted alongside Heidi for CIO of the Year were Cait O'Riordan, Chief Product and Information Officer at the Financial Times, and Susan Standiford, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Board Member at Zeal Network SE. So Heidi's award is not just well-deserved, but also a genuine honour.

Heidi Fraser-Krauss has been Director of Information Services since October 2015. Prior to that, she was Deputy Director of Information and Head of IT Services for three years, having joined us from St Andrews in 2012.

"I was both surprised and delighted to received the CIO of the Year Award. I'm passionate about the contribution IT can make to all areas of life and this award provides me with the opportunity to encourage more women to get involved in technology."
