Health care provider incentives

Abstract

In this study, we measure variations in care for people living in disadvantaged and affluent areas and combine this with information from clinical trials to show how variations in the delivery of care affects patient outcomes. We then show how payments to health care providers could be adjusted to give more money to services that provide greater benefits for more disadvantaged communities.
