Long-term childhood policy modelling

This research theme develops and applies methods for providing decision-makers with better information about the long-term economic, social and health consequences of childhood policies.

A microsimulation model of childhood development and health outcomes from birth to young adulthood, based on bespoke modelling of UK Millennium Cohort Study data.
A microsimulation model that can extrapolate long-term economic, social and health outcomes from young adulthood through to death and can be linked to LifeSim Childhood.
Long-term modelling of adolescent mental health problems and interventions using the LifeSim platform, including a “ready reckoner” tool for estimating the lifetime benefits and cost savings of addressing different problems and their childhood determinants.
