How to Apply

1. How to Apply for the Postgraduate Certificate

When applying, it is important that applications are complete and provide all material that is requested (see below), because incomplete applications will not be considered. We therefore encourage applicants to apply early, so that any outstanding information can be supplied before the closing date.

Successful applicants will be asked to pay a deposit of £200.00, which will be treated as part-payment of the programme fee.

Further Information

Only complete applications can be considered, so please make sure that your application includes the following:

    • You need to demonstrate that you meet the academic requirements of the programme by providing us with evidence of your previous qualifications. Please upload all degree certificates plus formal transcripts of your academic record, so that we have full details of the degrees, classes and grades that you have obtained.

- Documents not in English should be accompanied by a formally certified translation into English.

- If you are currently studying, you do not need to complete your previous course of study before you apply, as we can make you an offer conditional upon you successfully completing your current course.

    • If your employer or other sponsor is paying your programme fees, please include evidence of this, e.g. a letter on headed paper.

    • If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability. This does not necessarily have to be a formal English language test, as we can also accept a testimony from your current or most recent manager. For full details please see Entry Requirements.
    • You will be asked to supply the name and contact details of one referee; when you submit your application, we will use these details to request a reference. The reference needs to have been received by the closing date noted above.

You do not need to provide a sample of written work or a research proposal.

If you have any questions about applying, you are welcome to contact the Programme Administrator.

Application guidance is available, so that you understand the various steps in the University's application process.
