You'll have the opportunity to spend a year in industry or a year abroad with all of our courses.

If you're studying at a university outside the UK, you may be able to spend up to a year in York as a visiting student.

Fantastic facilities
As a student, you'll have access to our state-of-the-art facilities, including our bespoke Church Lane Building, and finance lab.
Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

School for Business and Society facilities

Our dedicated Church Lane Building offers bespoke learning spaces including our University Trading Room - used as part of our BSc Accounting, Business Finance and Management degree.

With excellent teaching facilities and dedicated social spaces, Church Lane is an interdisciplinary hub for the leaders of tomorrow. 

Careers

  • Our dedicated Employability and Placements Coordinators help you to create employability plans and apply for industrial placements and internships. We also offer opportunities to meet employers at careers events, LinkedIn development sessions, psychometric tests and more.
  • Our in-house Careers and Employability team are there to help you make the most of applications, interviews and assessment centres. We offer support throughout your time at university, when applying for placements or a year in industry, and after you've graduated.
  • Business projects will be a key part of your study. You will gain key experience of business planning, presentations, negotiating and the everyday decision making and creative thinking that employers value most.
  • Recent graduates have started successful careers at Sony, PwC, Unilever, L'Oréal, Vodafone and elsewhere.
