Training films
Alongside our MSc module in the safety of autonomous systems and bespoke training, we have developed short films that support the development of understanding of particular areas of safety assurance.
Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM)
As the systems in our world become increasingly complex and autonomous we need to understand how they will interact with actors in the environment, including humans and other technologies.
FRAM was developed by Professor Erik Hollnagel to model and analyse how work activities in a socio-technical system are done or could be done. We can use FRAM to help us understand how systems work at the moment and how humans adapt their work activities to assure the safety of the system.
