A UK-US free trade agreement? Don’t count your (chlorinated) chickens just yet

In a new blog from Professor Tony Heron, YESI Sustainable Food co-lead, says "The UK’s food standards would be put at risk by a UK-US free trade agreement, but don’t expect to see chlorinated chicken on UK supermarket shelves any time soon."

Professor Tony Heron has written a blog piece for SPERI: Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute, on the likelihood of an UK-US free trade deal being reached. In the piece Tony puts forward three reasons to doubt the idea that "chlorinated chicken will find its way onto UK supermarket shelves – at least, not any time soon".
