YESI Director to leave York
We are sad to announce that Professor Sue Hartley will be leaving us at the end of the year.
Prof. Sue Hartley will be leaving us to take up her new role as Vice President for Research (PVC-R) at the University of Sheffield. This is a wonderful opportunity for Sue, but we will be sad to see her leave. Sue was the founding Director of YESI and under her leadership YESI has developed rapidly to become a highly regarded and widely respected leader in the field.
As the Vice Chancellor said in an email to staff "Sue has played an instrumental role in driving a culture of research excellence, fostering important alliances and partnerships through her work as Director of the York Environmental Sustainability Institute, and Research Champion for Environmental Sustainability and Resilience." Sue will be with us until the end of the year and will help in the process of finding a worthy successor.
