York Environmental Sustainability Institute Photography Competition 2014
YESI is launching a new photography competition for students and staff across the University of York with three cash prizes (£100, £50 and £50 respectively) to be won.
We want bold, innovative and beautiful images to represent YESI's vision and our research themes. The competition deadline is 4pm on the 28th November 2014. The competition will be judged by a panel of experts from across the University including specialists in digital imagery and environmental research. They will pick the Grand Prize Winner and 1st Runner-Up as well as narrowing down a selection of images for the 'People's Choice' which will be voted for by the public on our Facebook page. Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit.
Please read our competition guidance to find out the competition rules and criteria. Entries should be emailed from your University of York email address as attachments to yesiphotocomp@gmail.com with a filename which includes your full name. You can submit as many photos as you like. In the body of the email please include the location(s) and date(s) of the photo, identify the theme or themes the photo(s) represent(s) and any other information you feel is relevant to your submission.
