Campus East is a hub of creative activity, where you'll find our extensive media complex and modern teaching buildings with dedicated areas for collaboration.
It's just a 20-minute walk, 10-minute cycle or a quick and free bus ride away from Campus West.
The Piazza Building
You'll find high-quality, flexible learning spaces and resource centres in the Piazza Building. Our International Pathway College is also based here, where our English language pre-sessional courses and pathway courses take place. There's also a restaurant serving world foods which you can enjoy with lakeside views.
The Department of Computer Science, the Department of Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media, York Law School and York Management School are based here.

York Sport Village
Our flagship sports centre at Campus East will give you access to a wide range of first-class sport, fitness and health facilities.
Facilities include a 120-station gym, 250m velodrome, fully floodlit 3G football pitches, two pools and a health suite.
You can admire lake views while you eat at the Piazza restaurant and the Students' Union-run Glasshouse is a great place to relax and catch up with friends.
Convenience on campus
Campus East has a range of amenities, so you don't have to travel far for your everyday needs. You can pick up groceries from Nisa supermarket, grab lunch from Greggs and get a haircut at the campus hairdressers.
Community on campus
You'll be part of an inclusive, international community here at York, and our support services are here to help you. There are over 200 societies, from astronomy to aerobics and politics to poetry, that you can get involved in and over 65 sports clubs.
Our Students' Union (YUSU), run by a team of elected sabbatical officers, are here to help you share ideas, create change, gain new skills and access support. YUSU also hosts events, including the annual Roses tournament - the largest inter-university sporting competition in Europe.
