Explore our beautiful campus on a student-led tour.
Our 2019 undergraduate guided tours have now finished. 2020 tours will be taking place in April, July, August, October and November.
If you're keen to visit campus sooner, you could take a self-guided tour using the booklet below which includes a suggested route. You can also take an online campus tour.
What happens at the event?
A current student will lead the tour and share their experiences of studying and living in York. They'll show you some of our colleges, the library, cafés, bars, shops, sports facilities, Information Centre and Students' Union. Tours usually include a visit to a study bedroom, so you can get an idea of campus accommodation.
After the main tour you can also take a guided walk around Campus East, where York Sport Village and the departments of Computer Science, Law, Management and Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media are based. You'll be shown points of interest as you wander around rather than an inside tour of the buildings.
It takes about 15 minutes on foot to travel between Campus East and West, or you can catch the free bus.
What's not included?
Tours of academic departments aren't included on the campus tours.
