Information for staff

Academic and administrative staff are welcome to attend graduation to celebrate the achievements of their students.

Staff who wish to attend

You do not need to order tickets in advance - just bring your valid staff ID and collect a ticket from the Graduation Team on the day. For the January 2027 events they will be available from the information desk at the Exhibition Centre.

Please arrive at Central Hall at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

How to dress

It is not compulsory for staff to wear academic dress, but those who do will be invited to join the opening procession into Central Hall. Any staff member who holds a degree can hire academic dress. You will need to order this yourself via the Graduation Attire staff gown booking portal.

All staff gowns can be collected from V/C/026+027 in Vanbrugh College on the day of the ceremony.

Submitting results and theses: January 2027

Please submit your undergraduate results lists and postgraduate taught results lists by Friday 6 November 2026.

Postgraduate researchers need to deposit their final thesis by Friday 23 October 2026.

Departmental receptions

There are no central receptions organised for January 2027 - academic departments can arrange their own receptions.
