Joan Samuels Scholarship for disabled students

Applications are open for the Joan Samuels Scholarship award for postgraduates with a disability.
The Joan Samuels Scholarship offers one award of £2,000 to be paid as a living cost stipend for one postgraduate student with a disability each academic year.
Who can apply?
In order to be considered for the scholarship, you must:
- have a disability
- be currently fully-registered on a degree-awarding postgraduate taught or research programme at the University of York for a duration of at least one full year
- be either full-time or part-time
- have home or international fee status
Application deadline: 5pm, Friday 31 October 2025
The successful candidate will be notified no later than Friday 7 November 2025.
