Exceptional circumstances affecting assessment update

News

Posted on Monday 29 September 2025

From Monday 6 October, the way you apply for assessment adjustments is changing.

Sometimes, things happen that affect your performance in an assessment or prevent you from taking it entirely. If your issues are unforeseen, you may be able to apply for exceptional circumstances affecting assessment

The way you apply for these assessment adjustments is changing. From Monday 6 October, you will see a new button in e:Vision where you can apply for exceptional circumstances affecting assessment including self-certification.

If you have a Student Support Plan, you will also see a new button in e:Vision where you can ask for an individual adjustment, such as an extension or deferral, to be applied to an assessment.

If you access the old platform from Monday 6 October, you will be redirected to e:Vision.

The new e:Vision task brings together some of the tasks that were previously separate and presents information to you that we already hold, rather than asking for it again. If you have any feedback on the new task, please complete this exceptional circumstances feedback form.
