Building closures over winter 2025

Specific buildings on campus will be closed from Saturday 13 Dec to Monday 5 Jan. Teaching will not be affected.
Following the success of previous winter building closures, we will again be closing specific buildings during the winter 2025/26 vacation, as part of our efforts to reduce costs and lower our carbon footprint.
Buildings with significantly reduced occupancy during this period will either be fully closed or have restricted access. Previous closures have resulted in significant cost and carbon savings. While certain buildings will be closed, the campus will remain operational, with facilities, catering outlets, the Library and many other essential areas remaining open for those of you staying in York.
