Summer help and support
If you or someone you know if experiencing mental health or psychological difficulties over the summer, we can help.
The summer term may be over, but our support hasn't gone away. The University offers a variety of support services whether you just need to talk, or need something more.
If you're just looking for a little advice on the common challenges of university life, we have information and self-help tips that can help you deal with academic pressures, anxiety, procrastination and other common issues.
If you need someone to talk to, remember that you can still reach out to your supervisor, your college welfare team, Nightline, the YUSU and GSA Welfare teams, or our chaplains.
If you'd like support for mental health or psychological difficulties, you can make an appointment with our Open Door team via our online referral form. Open Door are available Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm during the summer vacation.
To contact Open Door, please telephone +44 (0)1904 322140 or email opendoor
Open Door is not an emergency service. If your situation requires an immediate response, please visit the Emergency contacts page.
