Behind the election headlines: health
Are we facing a health crisis? Hear experts present their research on the limits of National Health Service (NHS) resources.
In our final lunchtime event exploring the issues behind the political headlines running up to the general election, we turn to health.
Dr Karl Claxton (Health Economics) and Dr Lina Gega (Health Sciences) present their research findings on the limitations of NHS resources and mental health interventions targeted at young people. In this context, we will discuss how pledges to increase NHS mental health staff, changes to social care, and investiment in IT systems for health services could affect health care in this country.
This event will be chaired by Community and Wellbeing Officer, Dom Smithies. These events are organised by the University of York in conjunction with YUSU.
