Mentoring scheme for postgraduate researchers: Applying

Joining as a mentor

The scheme is open for prospective mentors who are likely to be postdoctoral researchers. Successful applicants will undertake online training for the role in order to join the postgraduate researchers mentor pool.

Once a member of the postgraduate researchers mentor pool, mentors are contacted at the start of the biannual mentoring round to confirm their availability.

Joining as a mentee

Mentees are invited to apply for a mentor at two points in the year in and around:

• May for a mentoring relationship which runs from July to December
• November for a mentoring relationship which runs from January to June.

Application rounds will be advertised and the form made available on these pages.

While we will make every effort to match you with a mentor from within the same faculty as yourself we cannot, due to the size of the mentoring pool, promise a match within your department.
