How you book leave, submit expenses, recruit staff, manage budgets, handle transactions – from February 2027, these and other areas will move into an all-in-one system for HR and finance, alongside broader changes to how we deliver our services.

A lot of our processes are outdated and manual, leading to extra effort spent on repetitive tasks. Moving to a modern, simplified, united way of working is the single best route to a more connected experience for all of us.

Joining a Change Roadshow session

Open to all York staff, these online sessions will take a closer look at key transformation topics, explore direct access as an enabler of the future of work, and give more of an insight into Workday itself. We'll cover the same content at each, so you can choose whichever is most convenient – we can't wait to see you there.

Support to navigate change

Change, and the opportunities it brings, often feels exciting – but it can also lead to uncertainty and discomfort for some.

Alongside the existing wellbeing support on offer, we've launched a new Staff Learning Collection that includes practical resources for you and those you work with. We'll add more topics as we progress through the programme.

Through September, we're spotlighting the practical resources we've developed around ‘navigating ambiguity’ and the ‘growth mindset’. We hope you find them useful in your personal development – and that of your communities – as more of the transformation's implications become clearer.
