Collaborative Research and Development

We always have opportunities for you to develop project ideas in tandem with our research staff, and have an impressive track record of working with some of the biggest (and smallest) names in industry. We do not have a one-size-fits-all model for collaborative R&D, and we can discuss the best way to engage with you. Examples of how we can work together include:

• Sponsored research - we can provide dedicated support to novel research from our post-doctoral researchers and academic staff based at the University of York. Our researchers are experienced in working within the confines of confidentiality agreements, and we have various models to suit different IP ownership requirements.
• Partnering on funding proposals - we have previously received funding from numerous funding agencies including UKRI, EPSRC, InnovateUK, Dstl, the European Commission, National Science Foundation, and many others. We have a specialist Research and Innovation Development Team at the University of York who can help to navigate the rigorous requirements from these funders.
