✨ R3B Leadership Announcement: York Professor Takes the Helm
We are delighted to announce that Professor Marina Petri from the University of York has been elected as the new spokesperson for the R3B (Reactions with Relativistic Radioactive Beams) Collaboration at the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) in Germany.
Professor Petri steps into this critical leadership role as the 200+ strong, 23-country international collaboration enters its most exciting phase yet: the upcoming operation of FAIR in 2027. This marks a major turning point, allowing R3B to pursue its scientific program on nuclear structure, dynamics, and astrophysics with unprecedented precision and ambition.
