Event details

This three-week, online course explores the physics and engineering behind fusion energy. Join us to investigate how we can use the energy source of the stars for power generation on Earth.

This course provides a structured introduction to the principles underpinning fusion energy systems. You will explore plasma behaviour, magnetic and inertial confinement, reactor design, materials challenges, and the energy conversion process.

Drawing on cutting-edge research and innovation, the course examines the technical challenges for large-scale fusion development, and the plans to overcome these. We will highlight the interdisciplinary nature of fusion research, and different pathways into careers in the sector.

As the course is not yet open for registration, please use the 'Book tickets' link above to sign-up to the mailing list to be notified when the course becomes available.
