For a second successive year, the York Festival of Ideas has won the award for Outstanding Cultural Festival (Large) at the York Culture Awards.

Community marshals will be taking to the streets of York for two nights a week offering help and support to students and members of the public walking home late at night.

The University of York will appoint Professor Saul Tendler, currently Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost, as Acting Vice-Chancellor from 1 November 2018.
