LGBT History Month event

As part of our LGBT+ History Month programme, the LGBTI+ Matters Staff Network are delighted to welcome Dr Kit Heyam (they/them or he/him).

The event opens at 12.30 with a light lunch and an opportunity for attendees to network. If you have any special dietary and/or access requirements please contact equality@york.ac.uk. Kit's talk will be from 13.00 until 14.00 with an opportunity for Q&As.

About the speaker
Kit is a Leeds-based transgender awareness trainer, academic researcher and activist. Their research focuses on transgressive gendered and sexual behaviour in early modern England. As an activist, they work to uncover LGBT histories and make them visible to the public.
