Disability

New disabled students should contact the University Disability Services Team (disabilityservices@york.ac.uk) for an assessment of needs. An assessment is needed in order to make adjustments to study. 

There are many resources within the University:

• Support for postgraduate students: the Graduate Students’ Association

Disabled staff should discuss any areas of concern with their line manager or with Occupational Health.

Disabled staff may be interested in joining the INCLUDE Network (Inclusive Network Connecting and Linking University Disabled Employees).

Membership is open to all staff and the group aims to promote the value of disabled staff and improve their working environment by raising awareness, sharing good practice and providing a forum for ideas and issues.
