The Department of Mathematics is a community of staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds. The department seeks to ensure that staff and students from all backgrounds feel welcome and supported during their time at York.
For students, support is provided by YUSU (York University Student Union) through its BAME Network with officers representing students identifying as BAME.
Through the International Student Support team, the University provides help to international students whilst they settle into life and study at York. International networking is also available through YUSU’s International Students’ Association.
The University of York’s Staff Race Equality Forum provides a place for staff at the university with networking opportunities and support as well as promoting inclusivity regardless of race, ethnicity or nationality.
