You have a designated Employability Adviser who will work with you to develop your employability skills. You can email us to arrange 1-1 appointments for individual support and guidance. You can also contact us with queries and arrange video meetings.
We encourage and support you to develop your employabilty skills and strengths through any kind of extracurricular activities. Industry insight, work experience, internships and placements in industry can all prepare you for your future career.
Year in industry
If you're taking a course with a year in industry, we can help you to find and apply for a position to suit you. We advertise hundreds of placements each year.
Studying abroad will expand your horizons, develop skills of independence and adaptability, and foster a global mindset - traits which employers are looking for.
We encourage and support you to apply for internships at any stage of your studies. These are usually 12 weeks over the summer, or part-time throughout the year.

Employability and placements co-ordinators
Co-ordinators help you to create employability plans and apply for industrial placements and internships. They will also inform you of extracurricular activities that can help you build employability skills.
