YorCreate is a makerspace based in the Library and is open to all University students and staff.
A makerspace is a place in which people with shared interests can gather to work on creative projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.
We have equipment and materials of many kinds that you can enjoy trying out. There are Ultimaker and Flashforge 3D printers bookable for printing. We also have workstations available for creative projects and some materials and tools for making.
Your YorCreate journey starts with an induction session, with information on Health and Safety and use of the equipment. After this you will have access to the room via your University card and will be able to book equipment to use during Library opening hours and work on your own projects in your own time.
Join our Discord server to chat with the community to share your creations and see other people’s ideas!
