Introducing the Open Research Skills Framework

News | Posted on Monday 24 October 2022

We are pleased to share the York Open Research Skills Framework

This framework, launched to coincide with International Open Access Week 2022, provides an accessible guide to help University of York researchers navigate the values, benefits and practicalities of embedding open research in their work. It also signposts the support provided by our open research community of practice and includes good practice examples and case studies from a range of disciplines across the University.

The Open Research team are keen to hear if you have any questions or thoughts on the framework, and particularly interested to speak to any researchers who are considering adapting the framework to suit their discipline. A feedback form is provided here.

The team would like to thank our network of Open Research Advocates and other practitioners who helped develop this framework over the summer, led by our Project Coordinator Intern Kate Smith. We are also welcoming new members to join our Advocates network this academic year and help support and promote open research practices across the University - have a look at the Become an Advocate page for details.
