York History of Art students help launch a new student journal

Posted on 16 August 2011

York History of Art undergraduates Jade Adams, Tahnee Atkin and Camilla Apcar are working with students from the University of St Andrews on a new journal, SJAH (Students' Journal of Art History), which will be launched in the coming academic year.

Jade Adams and Tahnee Atkin, both third-year History of Art undergraduates, helped with the initial set-up of the venture and will continue to assist with recruiting writers and marketing the journal.

The Students' Journal of Art History is an independent, student-led initiative across several universities, aiming to establish a platform for quality publication of undergraduate writing on art history. Through the establishment of a web-based publication, we hope to provide a means for undergraduate students to have their writing published and read outside of the immediate community of their own university. We aim to develop discussion and form relationships between the undergraduate, postgraduate and academic art historical communities across the UK.
