Our research aims to directly impact policy and practice across the public, private and third sector.

We work in close collaboration with our research partners, both professional and those with lived experience, to produce research which contributes to the public good.

We're working with industry, schools, farmer organisations, citizen groups and the policy community to tackle human and planetary health challenges in the food system. Our aim is to initiate interventions that lead to regenerative fairer food systems.

Improving care and treatment for prisoners recovering from drug and alcohol addiction

Our research revealed a cliff edge of support for prisoners on release into the community. We recommend the development of new approaches that link effective work in prisons with more substantial support on release.

Changing shifts

We're helping a large NHS mental health trust understand the impact of moving to new working patterns.

Conditions, welfare and responsibility

We lead an international network of researchers focusing on welfare conditionality within social security systems across the world.

LGBT+ employee networks within the NHS

By better understanding staff networks, we aim to create more inclusive environments.
