We welcome businesses of all shapes and sizes. Recent exhibitors have included Audit Partnership, Boal & Co, Key Capital Partners, PwC and many more.

Making recruitment easier

You can think of a placement like an extended interview, giving you time to get to know an applicant properly before deciding whether or not to offer them a long-term position.

We aim to reduce the effort and cost which goes into your selection process through the support we offer along the way.

To get started email us at sbs-placements@york.ac.uk - we'll guide you through the process, working with you to develop a placement that meets your organisation's needs.

Before a placement begins we'll support you with:

  • Identifying your requirements
  • Researching salary guidelines
  • Proactively marketing your vacancy
  • Arranging visits and talks
  • Collating applications
  • Arranging and supporting interviews

During a placement we'll:

  • Be a dedicated point of contact for queries and issues
  • Provide specialised documentation for line managers
  • Arrange two supervisor visits around your availability
  • Advise on further collaboration with York
