A new home for the Department

We're excited to announce that Management will be moving to a new space on campus.

For students joining us for the first time and for our returning students, you'll be starting September in a brand new home.

The Church Lane Building at the centre of our East and West campuses offers more space, access to new facilities and technologies and your own cafe.

Following a major four-year development this modern, light-filled building has bespoke teaching and learning spaces including a lecture theatre and classrooms. There are also numerous break out and social spaces for more informal work as well as shared and individual offices and dedicated space for PhD students.

New friends - new opportunities

The move to the Church Lane Building is more than a change in location. The University of York Management School and Department of Social Policy and Social Work (SPSW) are moving in together. This offers some very exciting opportunities to explore how these two disciplines can combine to provide new ideas for joint working, studies and research. You'll also have the chance to meet new people and make new friends.

We'll be in touch with you about arrangements for when you return, and for our new students we’ll send you information about what to do on your first day.
