EDI Forum: Family and carers support
Event details
The School’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee are pleased to invite you to our next EDI Forum. This is one of the events aimed to support the Athena Swan work and reflect on our culture and policies regarding gender equality. At this event of the SBS EDI Forum, we will focus on family and carers support policies and practices in the School. The event provides a safe space for discussions and reflections on relevant research and personal experiences around these topics with staff and students. As such, this EDI Forum provides an ideal space and time for us all to think about family and carer support and find out how we as a School can create a supportive environment for those with caring responsibilities. We will hear from our SBS colleagues, Dr Sarah Forbes, Dr Naomi Finch, Dr Dan Horsfall and Dr Matthias Hambach on topics such as equal parenting, flexible working, being a carer during the pandemic and other care related experiences. We warmly welcome contributions from all attendees during our event and there will be time for Q&A.
Please kindly note that we will be taking some photos at the event, for marketing purposes. Please let Dr Nadina Luca know should you not wish to be included, either via email or at the event itself. Further information about the University’s processes for capturing photography and video can be found here.
