News

Posted on Tuesday 18 January 2022

The School of Arts and Creative Technologies is delighted to announce the installation of a new state-of-the-art Audient ASP4816 into the recently refurbished Richard Orton studio.

Centred around the new in-line mixing console, the studio has been painstakingly redeveloped by department Studio Manager Ben Eyes with support from his technical team. The studio is a new step for the department, offering students access to new recording and mixing methodologies that have not been taught on the BA (Hons) Music & Sound Recording and MA Music Production courses previously. The studio also boasts a host of classic and contemporary synthesizers and drum machines for students to explore and work with.

A more in-depth discussion of the mixing desk and the studio has been produced in collaboration with Audient and is available to view on their website.
